Hello Lovely People!!

It’s now day 5 of training camp in Gainsville, GA and oh man is my brain about to explode. Since arriving to WorldRace base camp, I have laughed uncontrollably, worshiped unabashedly, cried unapologetically, and learned more about the Spirit, God’s love, communion, forgiveness, and what it means to be God‘s daughter than I ever have before.

The community that I have quickly been engulfed in is one that is overflowing with compassion, support, adventure, excitement, hope, service, and most importantly, the spirit.

The Holy Spirit is something I’ve learned a lot about since arriving to training camp. And that’s a pretty important topic considering the spirit is the one who gives us birth and dwells in us. He’s always there. He is the one who holds with us partnership, companionship and intimacy; and through that, gives us EMPOWERMENT. He will never leave. Even when you think you‘re running away from Him, you’re actually running towards Him. He doesn’t just have visitation rights, He has habitation rights. He is omnipresent, and if the spirit is in you, then where can you go that the spirit doesn’t?

The presence of the spirit in this squad and in my team is HERE and here to stay. Each one of us came to this compound in the middle of Georgia bearing a unique expression of God that no one else can copy. We each came carrying our own levels of the spirit within us, each filling and refilling through different times spent in His presence.

I can tell without a doubt that I am exactly where God wants me to be. This trip, this squad, this FAMILY is exactly where I belong, and I am so thankful to everyone who helped me to get here. A quote that comes to mind when I think of this new home is written by Timothy Keller:

“To be loved but not known is comforting but superficial. To be known and not loved is our greatest fear. But to be fully known and truly loved is, well, a lot like being loved by God. It is what we need more than anything. It liberates us from pretense, humbles us out of our self-righteousness, and fortifies us for any difficulty life can throw at us”.

UPDATE: Our squad has had to move to a different facility due to a positive Covid result instead of flying to Nicaragua today. Although this isn’t what we expected today to look like, God isn’t surprised by any of this, and we can’t wait to see what amazing things He has in store for these next couple days! Please be praying that we will all test negative so we can launch to Nicaragua soon!!
