Hello family and friends! I’m sorry it’s been so long since I posted anything! I just wanted to give a quick update of what’s been happening with the WorldRace recently. Because of the world circumstances with COVID-19 right now, the wonderful leadership at the WorldRace has worked tirelessly to come up with the best solutions possible to closed borders, social distancing, and overall jeopardy of health. Many of my squadmates and I have chosen different paths and options in continuing with this journey God has laid on our hearts.
I have decided to defer my gap year until September of 2021. I am still doing the WorldRace, just a year later than anticipated.
Several people have already asked me if I’m disappointed with the way COVID has altered my plans, and the truth is, I am completely at peace with it. I have spent a lot of time in prayer seeking God’s guidance and begging for a sense of clarity and peace about the direction He wants me to go in; and as always, God is good and God answers. Throughout this whole pandemic experience, I’ve learned more than ever before the truth that we really have no control over our lives. This has also taught me more than ever before to come to God with hands wide open, waiting to receive whatever He chooses to give. That being said, I have no idea what God has planned for this upcoming year, but I am so stoked to see how He works through me and around me every second of it.
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. – 1 Thess. 5:16-18
